Phaidra Knight is a professional athlete and has been a part of the USA Women’s National Rugby Team since 1999. She played in the Women’s Rugby World Cup in 2002, 2006, and 2010, and won All-World Team honors during two of them. In 2010, she was named USA Rugby’s Player of the Decade.

In November of 2017, Phaidra was inducted into the World Rugby Hall of Fame, making her the second American and first African American to receive such a high honor.

She is a rugby coach, adjunct professor of sports management at Monroe College, Fitness Professional, TV talent, motivational speaker, and writer with a J.D. – yes, as if being a renowned athlete wasn’t enough, she also pursued a law degree.
